Raya Dize is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, sound healer, dancer, actress and a classical pianist/composer.
Raya grew up in a multicultural family of both Canadian and Russian heritage. Born in Germany, Raya has moved to a variety of places around the world. She said that never staying in the same place for long has given her the ability to easily adapt to different cultures and people.
Raya started listening to and playing classical music at the age of 3. A teacher noticed her gift and told her parents to cultivate this talent. So, they enrolled her in a classical music school.There, she studied 6 to 7 hours a day to become a classical pianist. Raya says that touring and playing difficult classical pieces at such a young age gave her the best school of life. She explained, “Music never let me down and I devoted my life to it in gratitude. I honestly believe that classical music is a journey that will provide a lifetime of both listening and educational pleasure.” At the age of 8, she has started playing in the theatre, where she was acting, dancing and recording her voice for a few parts in a musical play "Snow queen". That was her first experience of spending countless hours in a recording studio.
Later, she danced professionally and began to create her own music in which to express her ideas and feelings. She has won a few singing contests by singing covers and her original songs. Eventually, she enrolled in the biggest theatrical university in Europe. After attaining her bachelor’s degree, Raya came to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams. She has been invited to a VIP audition for "America's got talent" in 2017. Also, she has worked with Alex Sparrow (Eurovision participant 2011); sang in the show "Celestia" in Las Vegas; become an artist of the "Music Beats Cancer organization" ; written songs for other pop artists. In 2021 Raya's song "Breathe in breathe out" become one of the soundtrack for David's Gere movie "Burial Ground Massacre" on Amazon.
Raya writes music, plays instruments such as piano, singing crystal bowls, drums, guitar and a celtic harp.She dances for another artists and pursues her acting aspirations as well. Raya Dize has been featured in "My dinner with Herve" HBO movie in a scene with Peter Dinklage; TV show "Doumi girls" and other short movies, music videos and commercials.
Above all, Raya believes that love, compassion, and kindness are the real reasons why we are all here and if you loose sight of this, you have failed in life. “Life is a miracle and all of us are a part of it. You never know what’s going to happen tomorrow. So, believing in yourself is the way to show respect to something up there that has given us a chance to enjoy our lives.”
As of right now, Raya Dize is working on her new songs and performing in Los Angeles.
